Oh the excitement when two great things come together! Clarks Kids Originals have collaborated with Liberty on their classic desert boot to bring two styles, one with the eponymous flower print on the outside, and a more subtle option of red suede with a flower print lining. The collab is part of their celebration of ‘A very British year’, which also includes their Queen’s Jubilee desert boot.

The Desert Boot was designed in 1949 by Nathan Clark. It’s inspiration was a crepe-soled boot made from rough suede in Cairo’s fabled Old Bazaar and the footwear of choice for off-duty Eighth Army officers. The simple lines and comfort were an instant hit and the first ever casual shoe was born.

Remodelled especially for children’s feet, Kids Originals come in whole and half sizes and the Originals’ signature crepe sole has been subtly reinterpreted in a hardwearing, textured rubber. Kids Originals can be worn by both boys and girls. They are available in first sizes (from 5 to 7½) and in infant and junior sizes (8 to 2½) in a G width fitting.
